Mentoring: Knowledge and Skills Implementation

 As part of our Capacity Building initiatives we offer As part of our Capacity Building initiatives we offer mentoring and monitoring services to organisations and individuals who have attended our training programs ( if they wish to access such services.)

As Part of our Capacity Building initiatives we offer mentoring and monitoring services to organisations and individuals who have attended our training programs( if they wish to access such services.).  The focus is on the knowledge and skills the participants have acquired in the training, and assisting them and their organisations in applying and translating the skills and knowledge to their organisations.

Our intervention is short term and focussed.  In the event  that either The Organisational Puzzle or the organisation identifies the need for more intensive or long term intervention we would enter into a formal developmental relationship with the organisation.

Mentoring :  Formal Developmental Relationships

The Developmental  Relationships with individual organisation is based on needs identified within the target organisation and where the organisation formally contracts with The Organisational Puzzle to develop solutions for stated needs.  The formal Contractual Developmental Relationship formed with the organisation  can be on a selection of products or a single product and is fully driven by the needs of the organisation as identified.  The Support includes:

  • the actual intervention done in the  organisation ,( for example the development of a dashboard)
  • but also a implementation phase where tools and processes are tested and verified by The Organisational Puzzle
  • and a direct support phase where organisations implement and utilise tools independently. In this stage the organisation reaches the self-sufficiency  phase.

The relationships are time limited and the ultimate aim is the   ultimate independence or self-reliance of the organisation. Our relationship with partner organisation is value based which we see as more powerful, dynamic and adaptive than traditional consulting. These include:

  • Strategic value drivers ( rather than only operational improvements)
  • Outcomes based – rather than tasks
  • Improving both the performance and the capabilities of the partner organisations
  • Client involvement, commitment and ownership
  • Partner Organisational empowerment and creating new results
